Devdutt Padikkal was born on July 07, 2000 in Edappal situated in Kerala, India. His father’s name is Ambili Padikkal and Babunu Kunnath. But Devdutt and his family moved from Hyderabad to Bangalore for Devdutt’s cricketing career. Devdutt had taken cricket training from Karnataka Institute of Cricket.

Domestic Career of Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal made his first-class debut for Karnataka in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 28 November 2018. In December 2018, he had purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). He made an immediate impact, becoming the first player in IPL history to score three fifties in his first four matches.
Padikkal made his List A debut for Karnataka in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 26 September 2019, where he was the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 609 runs in eleven matches. Later in October 2019, he was named in India A’s squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy. His T20 debut came on 8 November 2019 for Karnataka in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In August 2024, he was selected for India D’s squad for the 2024 Duleep Trophy.

In June 2021, Padikkal was named to India’s ODI and T20I squads for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut on 28 July 2021, against Sri Lanka. In February 2024, he was added to India’s Test squad as a replacement for KL Rahul in the series against England. Padikkal made his Test debut on 7 March 2024 in the fifth match of the series, scoring 65 runs off 103 balls, which included 10 fours and a six.
